Canyon ISD Hosts Business and Community Luncheon Featuring TxDOT Update and District Highlights
Canyon ISD welcomed community leaders, elected officials, and business partners for its spring Business and Community Luncheon Tuesday, March 25th, held at the Conference Center at Happy State Bank Stadium.
Superintendent Dr. Darryl Flusche provided updates on enrollment trends, academic and extracurricular achievements, and the district’s Strategic Plan - all centered around the mission of empowering lifelong success for every student.
Jason Britsch, Public Information Officer for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), served as the featured speaker. He shared timely updates on current and upcoming road projects impacting Randall County and surrounding areas, including infrastructure improvements near schools and growth corridors.
Canyon ISD would like to thank FirstBank Southwest for sponsoring the event and supporting the district’s efforts to build strong connections between schools and the community.
The luncheon also included highlights from the district’s Lone Star Cup success, recognition of student programs, and a continued focus on strategic priorities such as school safety, workforce retention, and future-ready opportunities for students.
“This event is one of the ways we stay connected to our community and share how we’re working together to support students,” said Lisa Johnson, Director of Communications. “We’re grateful for the ongoing collaboration that helps Canyon ISD thrive.”
