Regional Industry & Education Summit Set for October 3rd

Canyon ISD, in collaboration with Region 16 Education Service Center, Amarillo College, Amarillo ISD, and West Texas A&M University, will host the Regional Industry & Education Summit on Thursday, October 3rd, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Conference Room at Happy State Bank Stadium.

The Summit is designed to align classroom learning with high-demand careers across the Texas Panhandle - bringing together educators, industry leaders, and community partners to strengthen college, career, and military readiness. Local companies are encouraged not only to attend but also to participate in the conversations. Employers can share workforce needs, highlight internship or mentorship opportunities, and help identify the skills students need for success. This collaboration ensures stronger connections between classrooms and careers across the region.

The program will include keynotes and panels with education and industry leaders, breakout sessions on workforce needs, credentials, and classroom-to-career connections, and networking to explore internships, mentorships, and collaborative projects. Pathways include Agriculture (Animal Science, Plant Science, Welding), Architecture & Construction, Arts & AV, Business, Culinary, Education & Training, Engineering/Robotics/IT, Health Science, and Law & Public Service.
