Texas Academic Performance Report

The Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. This information is put into the annual TAPR reports, which are available each year in the fall. Performance on each indicators is shown disaggregated by ethnicity, sex, special education, low income status, limited English proficient status (since 2002-03), and at-risk status since 2003-2004(district only). The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, finances, programs and student demographics.

Annual Performance Report

Texas Education Code §39.053 requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the TAPR report; campus performance objectives; a report of violent or criminal incidents; and, information received under Texas Education Code §51.403(e) from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The board of trustees shall hold a hearing for public discussion of the report, and they shall widely disseminate the report within the district.

School Report Cards

TEA publishes School Report Cards (SRC) for every campus. The SRC provides a small subset of the information available in the TAPR reports. School are required to provide a copy of their School Report Card to the parent or guardian of each student.

For more information on accountability, go to the TEA website.

Assessment provides educators tools to evaluate, measure and document the academic readiness, learning progress, skill acquisition, or educational needs of a student. Assessments are also used to identify individual student weakness and strengths so that educators can provide specialized academic support, educational programming, or other appropriate services as needed in order for our students to be successful.

Assessment data will be reported to our students, parents and community. Parents can access the Grade View and the Student Data Portal for their Child’s Unique Access Code.

Note: Please see the STAAR Assessment page for additional information.
